On March 8 at 2:00 AM EST, a Romanian hacker posted confidential financial information of 15 ebay members to eBay’s community forum. eBay failed to contact the individuals whose information had been compromised, breaking a three year old California law that requires online companies do to so. The hacker also spoke about Paypal vulnerability.
